With artificial intelligence (AI) becoming increasingly advanced, Google has been making strides to utilize AI across many of its products and services. One of the biggest areas Google is applying AI is in its Google Assistant technology. The Assistant can now carry on more natural conversations and understand context better than ever before. Behind the scenes, Google is leveraging large neural networks to enable the Assistant to comprehend requests, gather information, and respond appropriately.

Google has also been implementing AI into its core search engine. Algorithms are able to better understand the intent behind search queries and provide more relevant results. Additionally, Google is using AI in RankBrain, a system that helps interpret the meaning of search queries, even if the exact combination of words has not been seen before.

This allows the search engine to return intelligent results for never-before-seen queries.

For consumer products, Google has focused AI efforts on improving the quality of photos taken by Pixel phones. Features like Night Sight use algorithms to significantly enhance photos taken in low light. Google has also unveiled Duplex, an AI system for conducting natural phone conversations to carry out tasks like booking appointments. The technology has the ability to understand context, follow-up questions, and even insert natural pauses in speech to sound more human.

Across the board, Google is actively researching how to best leverage artificial intelligence to improve its products and create more intuitive, helpful user experiences. As Google expands its AI capabilities, users will continue seeing more services that act smarter and more like humans.

The company is committed to developing its AI in a responsible, ethical way to avoid potential downsides as the technology grows more advanced.
